In the second quarter of 2022, the performance of the top 5 sandbox-like games in Ecuador displayed a range of trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how these popular applications fared during this period, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Roblox experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at around $7.1K in mid-April and dropping to approximately $4.8K by mid-June. Weekly downloads saw a high of about 30.1K in mid-April, then declined to approximately 19.2K by the end of May, before slightly rebounding to 24.4K in the last week of June. Active users remained strong, starting at nearly 991K in late March and rising to over 1.08M by the end of the quarter.

Minecraft maintained a steady weekly revenue around the $1.4K to $1.9K range. Downloads fluctuated slightly, reaching a peak of 200 in mid-April and ending the quarter at 187. Active users showed a slight increase from about 20.2K in late March to over 21.3K by the end of June.

PK XD: Fun, friends & games saw varied weekly revenue, starting at $310 and ending the quarter at $282, with a notable dip to $175 in mid-May. Downloads showed a downward trend from 10.7K in late March to 5.5K by the end of May, before rising again to 7K in the last week of June. Active users decreased from 216.6K in late March to about 177.8K by the end of June.

IMVU: 3D Avatar Creator & Chat exhibited a steady weekly revenue, starting at $139 and peaking at $312 in the final week of June. Downloads saw a decline from 1.7K in late March to just 650 by the end of the quarter. Active users showed a slight downward trend, from 11.3K in late March to around 9.6K by the end of June.

Terraria had stable weekly revenue, ranging from $55 to $97 throughout the quarter. Download numbers were minimal, with only a few instances of downloads recorded.
